Who would have thought that women want to wear rhinestone encrusted handbags in the shape of anteaters or bundle of asparagus? Judith Leiber, it is there.

The designer, who is 90 years young, made a rare appearance in Los Angeles Wednesday to a costume event at the Art Museum Council of LA County. Taking the stage with vintage clothing expert Cameron chanel handbag authenticity in Los Angeles decades, she shared stories of survivors of the Holocaust in his native Budapest, becoming the first woman there to learn handbag trade and be accepted into the purse of the Guild, meeting her husband, Gerson Leiber, an American soldier at the end of the war and moved to New York to find fortune and fame by launching her handbag business 1963.

Leiber sculptural minaudières were worn by first ladies to presidential inaugurations, and celebrities on the red carpet across the world. A cupcake-shaped Minaudiere was featured in the film "Sex and the City", the adoption of plans of imagination to a whole new generation. In its time, Leiber also produces envelope and handle bags leather, snakes and crocodiles, some patchwork patterns, which include semi-precious stones.
